“A Starship of Chameleons” New Choreography from Colby Alumni
Two Colby Theater and Dance alumni have a performance tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 28, at the CPR-Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn, NYC. Kathryn Butler (’17) will be showing a new piece of choreography titled “A Starship of Chameleons” that she created collaboratively with Emery Lawrence (’17) and Julia Larcenaire.
Kathryn describes their piece as a mix of set movement material, spoken text scores, and improvisation, “A Starship of Chameleons” oscillates between fictional, humorous moments and those with tender authenticity asking the audience to repeatedly question our personal histories and current relationships to one another.
So if any of you Colby Theater and Dance fans will be in NYC tomorrow, check out this exciting new dance to be premiered at the Performance Studio Open House, January 28, from 8 to 9:30 at CPR — 361 Manhattan Ave Unit 1
Brooklyn, NY 11211.
