Actors, Dancers, Musicians: Sign up for “Eat Cake” Auditions December 10 and 11
Are you interested in a performing opportunity for the spring 2016 semester? Sign up to audition for a scene from Eat Cake, a new theater piece by Professor Lynne Conner (Theater and Dance). Students cast in the Eat Cake ensemble are eligible to sign up for TD 264 E: New Works Festival and to receive up to 2 credits during the spring semester. This theater piece will be performed as part of the New Works Festival, the final event of the Theater and Dance Department’s 2015-16 mainstage season (Strider Theater, April 21-23, 2016).
Auditions are open to all members of the campus community. No preparation is necessary. Just sign up for an audition time on the callboard in Runnals (in the hallway near room 104A).
This scene we will be rehearsing and performing is a creative montage of famous lines from Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. We will be working with professional composer/musician Peter de Klerk, who’ll create original music and sound, and Professor Jim Thurston, who will design the scenographic elements.
Auditions are coming up soon: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2015 FROM 4 TO 6 P.M. OR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2015 FROM 1 TO 3 P.M. Sign up now for your preferred audition time on the callboard in the hallway outside Runnals 104A.
