Alum Working on Tarantino Film
Junko Goda ’01 is working on a very exciting project: Quentin Tarantino’s next film — as the interpreter and personal assistant to the film’s Production Designer.
In her interview, she was asked about her design experience and referenced learning the basics of lighting, design, and scenic construction in college, among other things. Her understanding of design and building concepts also helped her to reassure the film’s Construction Coordinator, whose Hong Kong interpreter had no such background.
This project will see her regularly traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and Telluride, CO for the next 6 months. Her lips were tightly sealed around details of the film, but she did say, “it’s going to be a GREAT movie in that Tarantino way.”
