Glenn receives 2017-2018 James McKeen Cattell Sabbatical Award
Professor Melissa Glenn is the recipient of a 2017-2018 James McKenn Cattell Sabbatical Award. For over half a century, the James McKeen Cattell Fund has provided support for the science and the application of psychology. During her sabbatical, Glenn will work to enhance the translational success of her research by collaborating with Dr. David Mumby at Concordia University in Montreal on the development of innovative and ethologically-rich behavioral methods that better represent the complexities of human behavior and dysfunction. They plan to address a growing difficulty in the field of translating rodent research into human applications—an effect partly mediated by a movement toward overly simplistic measures of rodent behavior.
