Online registration will open on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018. Register early and share that you registered with Colby friends on social media to ensure they join you on Mayflower Hill for the weekend.
We are offering three all-inclusive packages:
1) Friday only
2) Saturday only
3) “The Weekend”
4) Children 17 years old and younger are free.
The fee per-adult varies by class. Children (ages 17 and younger) are free to register. Once arriving on campus for reunion, it is an all-inclusive weekend, and there are no additional fees required to participate in individual activities. Fees help cover the costs of reunion expenses such as food, beverages, and rented tables, chairs, and tents. Some class-specific and special events may require an additional registration fee.
Sunday events are complimentary to everyone.

Yes, alumni who are not part of an official reunion class are welcome to attend. Off-year alumni should register with the class closest to their own class year. These alumni may stay on campus if they choose, but are also welcome to find a room in one of the area hotels.
Preregistration is strongly suggested. However, walk-in pricing will be available at a premium rate.
Refunds are available until Friday, May 25, 2018. However, all refunds due to registration cancellation will incur a $10 non-refundable fee. After May 25, we can not issue a refund because food and materials have been ordered and staffing levels determined. Thank you for understanding.
Absolutely! We encourage returning alumni to bring their entire family. Children 17 years old and younger are free to register. There are plenty of family activities for children and their parents.
Use the “who’s coming” link in the right-hand navigation bar to search for your class. This link will be activated once registration opens in February.
Dress is casual all weekend except for the Saturday evening class reception and dinner, which tends to be semi-formal—a jacket and tie for men and a dress, pant suit, or dress suit for women. If you plan to participate in sports, bring appropriate athletic attire. Please note that some dorm rooms do not have mirrors.
Your first stop should be the registration area, located in the Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center. Upon registration, you’ll receive a packet containing a name tag, weekend schedule, maps, and special mementos. You’ll also be able to collect your room key and ask questions about on-campus accommodations at the Alumni Center.
Plan to arrive early on Friday, June 8, 2018, or even Thursday night, June 7, if you plan on participating in the “Best Ball” Golf Tournament or the 25-mile bike ride at 8 a.m. Friday morning.
If that’s too early, presentations by your fellow alumni are scheduled later in the day. With food trucks arriving at 3 p.m., games on Dana lawn, and the Maine Beer and Wine Fest under the big tent on the Colby Green starting at 5 p.m. followed by the Mayflower Hill Barbecue, what could keep you away?
It’s a great first opportunity to find your classmates and have some fun. We hope to see you there.
No, we supply linens for you. In each room, you’ll find a twin bed (or beds), a pillow, sheets, a blanket, and a towel. If you’re driving to Colby, we strongly suggest you bring an extra pillow or blanket.
There is a $30 per family key deposit fee if you’re staying in a dorm. Colby will process the reimbursements after reunion has concluded. It will be refunded by Wednesday, June 20, 2018, if keys are returned before leaving campus or during the week following reunion by mail. Returning ALL keys to Colby ensures the safety of our Colby students. If we fail to get dorm keys returned, the entire mechanism of the lock for the door must be replaced. Please remember to leave your keys in the designated location before you leave campus.
Yes, you may request to be paired with or located near friends. Please indicate this on your registration form, and we’ll try to accommodate your request. Make sure your friends provide a similar request so we can pair you up. The earlier you register, the more likely we’ll be able to accommodate your request. Please be advised that shared rooms will not be assigned until all roommates have registered for reunion.

In case of rain or cold weather, bring a rain coat, sweater, and umbrella. If possible, bring an extra pillow and blanket, towels, and a bedside lamp. You should pack necessary toiletries, hangers, an iron, and an alarm clock. Families with young children should bring a pack and play or portable crib.
We’re sorry, but no pets are allowed on campus. Please make alternate arrangements.
If your days of staying in the dorms are over, feel free to make your own hotel reservations. Some hotels are offering a good rate for Colby alumni. Go here find hotels and other lodging in the area.
Meals are now included with each reunion package. There will be an array of food options at each event and dining hall meals, but please designate food allergies and related information on the registration form in the appropriate section. The Joseph Family Spa and the Marchese Blue Light Pub will be open on campus as well.
Catering will be done by Bon Appetit, Colby’s new catering service, and dishes will feature locally sourced, organic ingredients. Dining hall breakfast and lunch buffets will be listed in the reunion program and are included in your package. Packages reflect catering costs from Bon Appetit and include the additional logistical and labor expenses associated with feeding many large groups during reunion.

There will be many family-friendly activities on campus including: art activities designed by the Colby Museum, pizza and movie night, face painting, and a climbing wall to name a few of what awaits your children on-campus.
You must preregister for childcare by Friday, May 18, 2018. Reservations cannot be accepted after that date. Late registrations and walk-ins are not allowed, so please plan accordingly.
The College does not rent bicycles. However, you can visit Gorham Bike and Ski to rent bicycles. They have a variety of options and you are able to make your reservation online. Their Portland, Maine location is at 693 Congress Street. They are open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They can be reached via phone at 207-773-1700.
The bookstore will be open, and many items will be on sale. Store hours will be available in the final weekend schedule you receive in your packet when arriving.
Yes, our facilities are available for alumni and their guests. Swim in the pool; play tennis at the Alfond-Wales Tennis Courts; walk or jog on the track at Harold Alfond Stadium; hit the squash courts (bring your own racket); or sweat it out with free weights, exercise bicycles, treadmills, or rowing machines in the Boulos Family Fitness Center. Facility times will be posted when you arrive on campus.
A limited number of interview times are available for children of Colby alumni on Thursday and Friday of reunion weekend. Please contact Admissions at email@example.com or 207-859-4800 to schedule an interview.
Opportunity. Reunion is a wonderful opportunity for you and your classmates to connect with one another and re-engage with Colby. Gifts to the Colby Fund help the College provide programming for students and alumni to connect with Colby.
Flexibility. Our goal is to provide the best Reunion 2018 experience with the greatest flexibility to our alumni and guests. To this end, you’ll notice that we have provided a variety of reunion packages this year. These new package options allow guests to register for only the days they choose to attend reunion, allowing the College to keep the package fees much lower than actual costs even when including the participatory gift to Colby.
Transparency. We understand that some alumni have already made a gift to Colby this year. If any reunion attendee prefers not to include the $10 gift already included in their registration fee, they can simply call the Office of Alumni Experience and Networks office at 207-859-4311 to opt out within seven days of registration (no questions asked).
