Online registration will open to the Class of 2020 on Friday, Jan. 28. We will open registration for all other reunion cohorts on Thursday, Feb. 10. You will receive an email invitation and a postcard with a link to the online registration form. We encourage you to register early this year as available housing will be extremely limited given the number of classes returning, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The health and safety of our community and all reunion attendees is a top priority. All attendees must follow CDC, state, and College policies and guidance regarding Covid-19. We encourage all reunion attendees (with the exception of those who are unable to do so) to be fully vaccinated and boosted, though it is not required. We are not testing attendees onsite or requiring proof of a negative Covid-19 test. Thus, each attendee should consider their personal health situation in deciding to attend reunion, including attendance at particular reunion events and activities. Colby will continue to monitor the Covid-19 landscape, and we will provide updated information if there are any changes to the policy or event plans.
While we are not testing attendees onsite or requiring proof of a negative Covid-19 test, if you begin to feel unwell while at reunion, we encourage you to take a Covid-19 test. Northern Light Health, CVS, and Walgreens are among several local providers who can administer a free Covid-19 test. If you test positive for Covid-19 during reunion, please remove yourself from campus as soon as possible and notify all close contacts.
The fee per adult varies by class; see the registration form for details. Children (ages 17 and younger) will cost an additional $10 for the entire weekend. Once arriving on campus for reunion, it is an all-inclusive weekend, and there are no additional fees required to participate in individual activities. Fees help cover reunion expenses such as food, beverages, and rented tables, chairs, and tents. Some class-led special events that are not part of the Colby-coordinated programming may require an additional registration fee.
Call us at 207-859-4311 or email us at [email protected] if you have any questions about registration or the weekend.
Please register by Thursday, May 19, to help us with accurate catering counts.
Your first stop should be the registration area, located in the Schair-Swenson-Watson Alumni Center. Upon registration, you’ll receive a packet containing a name tag, weekend schedule, and special mementos. You’ll also be able to collect your room key.
Meals are now included with each reunion package. There will be dining hall meals, plus an array of food options at each event, but please designate food allergies and related information on the registration form in the appropriate section. Light afternoon snacks (e.g., granola bars, etc.) will also be available in the Schair-Swenson Watson Alumni Center and in the Spa in Cotter Union on Friday and Saturday of Reunion (2:30-4:30 p.m).
Refunds are available until Friday, May 20, 2022. After that date, we cannot issue a refund because food and materials have been ordered and staffing levels determined. All registrations include a gift to the Colby Fund which cannot be refunded. Thank you for understanding. If the College makes the decision to cancel reunion for any reason (e.g., a change in the Covid-19 landscape), full refunds will be issued.
Absolutely! We encourage returning alumni to bring their entire family. There are plenty of family activities for children and their parents.
Yes, you may request to be paired with friends. Please indicate this preference on your registration form, and we’ll try to accommodate your request. Make sure your friends provide a similar request so we can pair you up. The earlier you register, the more likely we’ll be able to accommodate your request. Please be advised that shared rooms will not be assigned until all roommates have registered for reunion.
Camp Colby provides a safe environment for children ages 4–13 to play and explore while their parents/guardians enjoy time with classmates and friends during reunion. This program will only be offered during the second weekend, June 10–12.
You must pre-register for childcare by Thursday, May 19, 2020. Reservations cannot be accepted after that date to ensure that we have the appropriate staffing levels in place. Late registrations and walk-ins are not allowed, so please plan accordingly. A follow-up email will be sent once you have registered for Camp Colby.
Colby College is committed to making its campus accessible to persons with disabilities. However, not all areas of campus are fully accessible. Individuals who have special needs should contact the Office of Communications and Engagement at 207-859-4311 or at [email protected]. Service animals that meet ADA requirements will be permitted with advanced notice.
Dress is casual all weekend except for the Saturday evening class reception and dinner, which tends to be semi-formal—a jacket and tie for men and a dress, pant suit, or dress suit for women. Please note that some dorm rooms do not have mirrors.
In case of rain or cold weather, bring a rain coat, sweater, and umbrella. If possible, bring an extra pillow and blanket, towels, and a bedside lamp. You should pack necessary toiletries, hangers, an iron, and an alarm clock. Families with young children should bring a pack and play or portable crib.
No, we supply linens for you. In each room, you’ll find a twin bed (or beds), a pillow, sheets, a blanket, and a towel. If you’re driving to Colby, we strongly suggest you bring an extra pillow or blanket.
We’re sorry, but no pets are allowed on campus. Please make alternate arrangements. Service animals that meet ADA requirements will be permitted with advanced notice.
The bookstore will be open, and many items will be on sale. Store hours are listed in the online schedule of events, as well as the printed program.
Your registration includes a gift to the Colby Fund that provides the resources that sustain the College and create opportunities for students to learn, experience, and grow. Annual gifts ensure that Colby thrives as it prepares today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders. If you would like to opt out of your gift, please call the Office of Communications and Engagement at 207-859-4311 to register by phone.
