Enterprise CarShare Program

The Enterprise CarShare program is a membership based program that allows Colby students, faculty and staff who have a valid drivers license to rent a care for a short period of time.

Colby has a vehicle located at Roberts, Lunder, Hillside and Appleton parking lots. For parking lot locations, please visit the Colby College Interactive Map.


How does it Work?

> Join Enterprise CarShare

Enroll online at Enterprisecarshare.com/Colby. After submitting your application, you should expect an approval email or additional follow up steps within 1-2 business days. (International applicants may take longer to get approved.)

Once your membership is approved, you should receive your membership materials in the mail within 3-5 business days.  When the card arrives, you’ll be on your way!

Member Eligibility

  • This program is open to all qualified students, faculty and staff ages 18 and up
  • Applicants must provide a valid Colby email address
  • Valid driver’s license (International Driver’s License accepted. Must have International Driver’s Permit)
  • Valid major credit card in your name

Login with the Enterprise CarShare app, select the vehicle you want and how long you’ll need it.

> Unlock and Go

Hold your membership card over the windshield sensor to unlock the vehicle, the keys will be waiting for you inside.

> Return

Return the vehicle at the end of your reservation. Hold your membership card over the reader one last time, the doors will lock and your rental has ended.

Physical Damage and Liability Protection

Ages 18-20

Physical Damage: Member is responsible for the first $1,000 of any damage to or loss off the vehicle.

Liability: For members 18-20 who do not have their own insurance, Enterprise CarShare will extend liability protection up to the state minimum required amount.

Ages 21 & Older

Physical Damage: Member is responsible for the first $1,000 of any damage to or loss off the vehicle.
Liability: Enterprise CarShare will extend liability protection up to the state minimum required amount.

Six Rules to Remember:

Car sharing works best when we all work together.

  1. Report damage and litter. If you notice any damage to the vehicle please
    report it immediately to Member Services.
  2. Keep it clean. Remove all of your trash and personal belongings before ending your reservation.3
  3. No Smoking. Smoking in the vehicle is not allowed.
  4. Keep your pets safely secured. Pets are required to be crated at all times while
    in the vehicle.
  5. Fill the fuel tank. Always leave ¼ tank of fuel in the vehicle before ending your reservation.
  6. Return on time. To avoid extra charges and to be considerate to other members, please return the vehicle on time.

Reservation Cancellation Policy

We know that plans can change. If you need to cancel or change a reservation, you can do so online, on the Enterprise CarShare app, or by calling Enterprise Member Services at 1-877-599-3227 before your reservation begins.

Please cancel at least three hours before your reservation begins. If you cancel with less than three hours notice, you will be billed for the first three hours of your reservation. If you do not cancel your reservation and do not drive, you will be billed for the estimated cost of your reservation.


Returning Early

If you plan to return your vehicle earlier than expected, simply shorten your reservation online, on the app, or by calling Enterprise Member Services at 1-877-599-3227.

Starting at the time you notify us of your early return, you are responsible for up to three hours of your canceled time.
