Abby joined the Office of Communications in 2022, after spending nearly 18 years reporting for the Bangor Daily News. She most recently covered the news of Waldo County, where she wrote about farmers, fish farms, lobster wars and many other facets of life in midcoast Maine. She also has written freelance articles for outlets including the Island Journal, the Maine Alumni Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and Sierra Magazine. Abby, who lives in Belfast with her family, loves telling people’s stories.
