Personal Information
Luis Millones Figueroa, Allen Family Professor of Latin American Literature, has been teaching at Colby College since 1998. He has been chair of the Department of Spanish and director of the Latin American Studies Program.
Professor Millones' interests for teaching and research are environmental humanities; early modern science and natural histories of the New World; and Jesuits studies from a transatlantic perspective.
Luis is the associate editor of CLAR - Colonial Latin American Review, and a member of the Board of Directors of the MHC - Maine Humanities Council.
