Patty is the inaugural Assistant Director of the Halloran Lab for Entrepreneurship and has over fourteen years of experience in higher education administration in supporting students, faculty, and staff members to reach their goals. She will focus on student recruitment, grant processing, marketing/newsletter, and program/event planning.
Her higher education work experience before joining Colby includes five years at Boston University and six years at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Patty also has more than twelve years of retail management and office management experience. She owned her own organizing and decluttering business in Massachusetts for nine years. Patty was an instructor at North Shore Community College, and has taught many adult education courses. She enjoys helping and encouraging others to achieve their goals and follow their dreams.
Born in Waterville, Patty grew up in rural central Maine, in Hartland. As a first-generation college student, she has a deep appreciation for Colby’s mission and values, especially its approach to innovation and commitment to expanding access to applicants of lower socioeconomic statuses.
Patty has a Master’s of Education degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, Higher Education Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies from Endicott College.
