Having family distributed across two countries, I grew up travelling to and experiencing different places and cultures. This continued in college as I completed degrees in three different countries. The new beginnings and new (to me) discoveries that came with those moves have promoted a life-long passion for exploring and learning. In particular, I have always has been fascinated with the physical environment we inhabit and the many ways that it intersects with our day-to-day lives. I am excited to share my passion for geoscience with students at Colby and help reveal the significance an understanding of the ways the Earth works can have on their own careers and interests.
Outside of my teaching role I pursue interests in environmental monitoring in my community (a variety of citizen science initiatives), Premier League soccer in the UK, and learning traditional New England folk tunes to play on my mandolin.
