Thomas J. Watson Fellowship

The Thomas J. Watson Fellowship offers college graduating seniors of “unusual promise” a year of independent, purposeful exploration and travel — in international settings new to them — to enhance their capacity for resourcefulness, imagination, openness, and leadership and to foster their humane and effective participation in the world community. This is a one-year grant for independent study and travel outside the United States.

Eligibility 
Must be a graduating senior nominated by your college.

Citizenship 
Both US and foreign nationals may apply.  Foreign nationals may not return to their home country.

Duration
One year.

Deadline
Last Friday in September by 3:00 p.m. Amount $25,000 ($35,000 if married or with dependent child).
