Pleased to announce the release of a new scholarly volume directed by Flavien Falantin and Céline Hromadova, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Bonjour Tristesse and the 20th anniversary of Françoise Sagan’s passing. This collection provides an in-depth analysis of the lasting impact of Sagan’s pioneering novel. It delves into the work’s international reception, post-colonial resonances, literary heritage, and psychoanalytic interest, along with its various adaptations in film and graphic novels. Featuring previously unpublished interviews, this volume examines the ethical and aesthetic questions raised by Bonjour Tristesse and assesses Sagan’s influence on contemporary literature. The project brings together contributions from 18 scholars from around the world and is supported by the prestigious UMR THALIM Fund from Université Paris-3 Sorbonne.
