Design Requests
Need a poster designed for an upcoming event? Looking to create a brochure or social graphic for your department? You have a few options when it comes to designing marketing collateral.
Design Your Own
This might be the most viable option if:
- You or someone in your department has the capability and expertise in platforms like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Canva
- The collateral is for a smaller audience, e.g. a class of students or fewer than 50 people
Please always follow the guidelines as presented on these pages, including proper usage of Colby logos, colors, fonts, etc. We also offer a number of pre-made templates you can customize for your needs. The Office of Communications can review the final design for feedback and to ensure your piece aligns with Colby brand standards.
Submit a Request
The Office of Communications has a team of designers available for ad hoc design requests. Submit the form below and provide as much detail as possible:
- Format
- Size
- Audience
- Purpose
- Calls-to-action
- URL links
- Photos
- Content
- Examples of inspiration
- Deadline
- If a printed material, who will handle printing?
This allows our team to fully scope out the project.
Please submit requests as early as possible. Smaller projects can take anywhere from 4 business days to two weeks, whereas larger projects can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks depending on scope. If the Communications Office is not able to fulfill your request, we will recommend a freelance designer and can coordinate hand-off.
Hire a Vendor
We have vetted a variety of reputable designers, both locally and nationally. Design costs will be invoiced back to your department.
